Remote work policy

1.1 Purpose

The purpose of our organisation’s remote work policy is to enable BUSUSOI internal employees to work remotely with high performance standards. We aim to encourage and empower qualified  individuals to find work (through our employment agency services) which can be done remotely, to have a wider diversity of staff (inclusion), to offer flexible work times which allow work/life balance, to enable time management by reducing travel time for employees, to empower organizations to remain results oriented and competitive especially during times of uncertainty, last but not least to reduce emissions caused by road traffic.

1.2 Target groups

Our main target is ‘stay at home mothers’ who are qualified to work but are somehow stuck because balancing the time for working and picking up children is sometimes very stressful or even impossible.

Other target groups include qualified individuals who are living in remote areas which have limited or no employment opportunities, the qualified and experienced disabled/health challenged individuals who prefer working from the comfort of home.

Students who have to balance university hours and work hours.

Senior/retired professionals who are willing and happy to work from the comfort of home environment.

1.3 Scope
Our policy thrives to ensure that all work which can be done remotely should be done remotely. BUSUSOI welcomes employees from any social-economic background and locations. We are inclusive  and our vision is to reduce social-economic inequalities between target groups and within target groups.

1.3.1 For internal employees

Internal employees refers to employees who are working directly under BUSUSOI either as a core team or as a hired employee.

This policy covers full-time employees who have been with BUSUSOI for a certain amount of time as well as contractors, volunteers, part-time employees, interns and new hires who have worked for the company for 3 months or longer.

1.3.2 For external employees

External employees refers to employees who are hired to work for organisations which are clients of BUSUSOI.

Remote workers may work in any location however remote work eligibility includes being knowledgeable and experienced in using computer, having reliable power sources and internet connection and within locations which are considered to be safe environments for the work to be done. For employees and for employers interests.

1.4 Expectations

All internal and external employees working from home are expected to be results oriented and to meet the deadlines which are set for the tasks.

BUSUSOI allows remote workers time flexibility, however remote workers who are contractors, volunteers, part-time employees, interns and new hires are expected to inform management of the times when they will be working from home (not less than 48 hours beforehand).

Remote workers are expected to be reachable by phone or email in case of work related emergency.

1.5 Communication

Standard communication tools used by the company are email, video conference, message chats and phone calls. Camera are to be turned on during video calls.

Managers sending email communication to employees who are working remotely should state URGENT on heading IF it needs to be attended to by employee(s) outside of their agreed work hours.

1.6 Social aspect

We arrange informal remote video chats and keep an open line of communication. We meet whenever we can. Future organised social events are being considered.

1.7 Employees work-life balance

Employees are encouraged to pursue a work-life balance. We offer work time-flexibility for our internal employees to allow such. We negotiate terms with our organization partners separately before hiring the best fit’candidates.

1.8 Conclusion

BUSUSOI remote policy will be updated regularly to remain in alignment with relevant changes which may happen within or outside the company environment.
